Fort Worth,Texas

How're y'all doin' there?  (well, we are in Texas)

We knew Fort Worth would be a big city, but not this big! We drove from one side to the other on an 8 lane, each way, freeway and it took nearly an hour, driving at about 90 k per hr.  Huge spaghetti interchanges - quite daunting!   However, we didn't take one wrong turn thankfully.  We arrived at a lovely resort RV Park, lots of trees, large pool, cafe - the only downside it that it is beside the freeway with traffic noise all night.
There is no transport to the city and we have decided not to drive the RV back into town, it's just too busy! Fort Worth and Dallas merge together and the combined population is about 2.5 million, and they all drive everywhere, all at once!
Had a relaxing afternoon in the pool, catching up with RV housekeeping, then dinner at the park cafe.  Pizza and chicken wings for four, all for $16!

Heading for quieter country - in East Texas there are national parks, lakes, pine forests - Let's go there!
